The method is very simple for this. You just need is command prompt and little bit commands that i have listed in this pot. And by this you can ensure your privacy by protecting your drive by any unauthorized access to it by hiding it. Learn How To Hide Drives with CMD :-
Below are the steps to hide a hard drive partition:-
1. First of all open MyComputer and note down the name of drive which you want to hide. Let it be D drive.
2. Now click on start of windows and type “ cmd ” there.
3. Now right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
4. Now command prompt window will get displayed in your window screen.
5. Type “ Diskpart” there and press enter.
6. Now click on yes on the popup that appears.
7. Now a new window of command prompt will get appear.
8. Type list volume there and then see all your volume list and find the no. of the drive which you want to hide. Let it be 1.
9. Type Select Volume 1 and press enter.
10. Now type Remove Letter D and press enter.
11. Thats it you are done, now explore your computer and you will see the selected drive will not be in the drive list.
Steps To Unhide Drive With Cmd:-
Below are the steps to unhide a hard drive partition:-
1. Simply Repeat the above till 9th step.
2. Now type assign letter D and then press enter.
3. Thats it you are done. Now you will see the drive will get unhide and will be displayed in rest of drives list.
